Omniteksas UAB implements the project "Development, research and experimental production of knitted fabrics with antiviral properties and body protection and air purifiers from them“.

During the R&D project we will develop new and innovative knitted fabrics with antiviral properties (i.e., effective against the group of shelled (lipophilic) viruses, which also includes the SARS-COV-2 (2019-2CoV) virus), product made from those fabrics (protective clothing, masks, air filters) prototypes and we will strive to obtain certificates, approvals and markings confirming this.

The benefits of the project are the creation of knitted fabrics and certified products from them, which not only perform the functions of protecting the body and the environment from COVID-19 virus (which is what the currently used disposable materials do), but also drastically shorten the survival time of viruses.

The project budget is EUR 389 817.17

The available funding is EUR 311 853.72

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
